Virat Kohli In the 35th match of the T20 World Cup 2022, India defeated Bangladesh by 5 runs to win. In this match, Virat Kohli scored an unbeaten 64 runs in a brilliant manner, but during the match he made a mistake that could have cost the Indian team by losing the match. Actually, Bangladesh wicketkeeper Nurul Hasan has accused Virat of fake fielding. Nurul Hasan disclosed after the match that Virat had thrown a throw during Bangladesh’s batting which the umpire could not catch and Bangladesh had to bear the loss.
Nurul Hasan expressed his displeasure while interacting with the media after the match played in Adelaide. He said, ‘We all saw that the ground was wet. After all, when all these things are being talked about, there was also a fake throw. There could have been a penalty of five runs on this. That too could have gone in our favour, but unfortunately it did not happen.
Fake fielding was done by Virat Kohli:
#FakeFielding since when the quick reflexs started to be called as fake feilding…
It feels like picking reason to hide your failures back of that..similar like pointing an umbrella towards a tsunami#shameonbangladesh pic.twitter.com/exewvYJfHD

The incident happened in the 7th over of Bangladesh’s batting. Liton Das played a shot off Axar Patel, which went like Arshdeep Singh fielding on the boundary. Arshdeep Singh caught the ball and threw fast, but in the meantime Virat Kohli appeared on point and tried to trouble the Bangladesh batsmen by throwing a fake.
Bangladesh could have won the match
Virat Kohli’s throw throw could have been very heavy on the Indian team. Explain that according to the rules, if any player is caught fielding a fake, then a penalty of 5 runs is imposed on the team. If Virat’s mistake was caught by the umpire in Adelaide, then the Indian team would also have got a penalty of 5 runs and India could have lost this won match.
